Z mladinsko izmenjavo "Enakost spolov" sledimo enemu najpomembnejših ciljev programa Erasmus+: enakosti spolov.
Spoznali smo pomen besede "feminizem" in izvedeli več o načelu enakosti spolov. Naredili smo zgodovinski pregled nad uveljavljanjem načela enakosti spolov in kako se je položaj žensk in moških spremenil skozi čas in kako se je razvil feminizem. Delili smo svoje izkušnje in znanje o človekovih pravicah v povezavi z enakostjo spolov.
Datum izvedbe: 25. 8. - 2. 9. 2017; Rakičan, Slovenija

With youth exchange "Gender Equality" we follow one of the most important aims of Erasmus+ programme: gender equality. Europe has changed during the history, where decades ago women were supposed to be the ones who took care of the household, children and their husband - they were housewives. They did not have the right to voice their opinion, they did not vote, they were not supposed to have a job – they were not supposed to be independent. Men were the bread-earners, “bosses” of the household. Now, women and men have equal rights – women can vote, express their opinion, they can have a job and can even apply for the same job as men etc. However, in practice it is not always the way it seems in theory.
The goal of this project was that young participants research the position of women and men in different European countries; including their position in the field of employment. We got to know the meaning of the word “feminism” and we learned more about equality of the sexes. We made a historical overview of gender equality and how did the position of women and men change during the history and how feminism evolved. We shared our own experiences and knowledge about human rights regarding gender equality etc. We got to know how leading and influential people involve the principle of gender equality into their work and behavior, whose positive and negative actions were in the spotlight, who contributed positively and who worsened the situation. With all this, we got to know how to implement the EUs values, how to respect the principle of equality regardless of sex, and wel learned how to respect human rights in general.
40 participants from Spain, Italy, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia aged between 18 and 30 (involving young participants with fewer opportunities) are young people who are interested in the topic of gender equality and human rights. The emphasis of the youth exchange was on making sure that both genders are represented equally. Working methods: icebreakers, energizers, team/group work, interactive and creative workshops, open space workshops, discussions, evaluation, role playing, informal gatherings, etc.
The aim of the project “Gender Equality” was that young participants gain awareness of how important it is to implement the principle of people equality regardless of sex or any other personal circumstances.
Date of implementation: 25. 8. - 2. 9. 2017; Rakičan, Slovenia.
